Clinical Pharmacist, Days

Twin Cities Hospital is a 65-bed hospital with a medical staff of over 150 physicians. It offers all private rooms and the areas first Certified Orthopedic Joint Replacement Program and Certified Spine Surgery Program, in addition to a state-of-the-art surgery center. Twin Cities Hospital also has 24 hour emergency services , a critical care unit , Certified Diabetes Education Program , and a variety of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging and laboratory services. Located at Highway 85 North and College Boulevard in Niceville, Twin Cities Hospital also has the areas only hospital based Wellness Center, offering a variety of health related seminars throughout the year.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for supporting and participating in the departments clinical programs aimed at enhancing the quality of drug therapy to include therapeutic drug monitoring, drug utilization evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives. Continuing education in-services for nursing and pharmacy staff will be conducted as needed. Pharmacokinetic dosing, nutritional support, and pain management consultations will be provided upon physician request. When participating in distributive function, the Clinical Pharmacist ensures the prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients of all ages, employees, and designated areas of the hospital in accordance with the pharmacy laws of the State of Florida and the policy and procedures of the department of Pharmacy. Physician orders and patient medication profiles are reviewed, processed, and checked. Drug information is provided to health care professionals and patients to assist in providing an explanation of drug therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Current License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Florida required
  • A minimum of one year experience as a clinical pharmacist is strongly preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
