We are looking for an experienced professional to provide excellent service and an outstanding patient experience in our office.
The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a busy, professional environment while maintaining excellent patient service.
Candidate must also be a team player who has a positive attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
Hours per week would be approximately 25 hours per week.
Preferred availability from 11:
00a on.
Starting hourly rate is $14.
00 and will vary based upon experience.
Duties Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
Schedules appointments for established and new clients in person and on the telephone.
Collects and records client payments.
Assists patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the waiting area.
Maintains client information by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, insurance, and financial information.
Prepares appointment lists, superbills, and appropriate patient forms for the following business day.
Answers the phone and responds to inquiries and voicemails for the office.
Coordinates referrals through insurance and/or to other medical offices.
Verifies eligibility and insurance information for clients.
Performs office duties of faxing, copying, scheduling appointments, filing, chart building.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Seeks to keep appointments on time by notifying provider of client's arrival and other timekeeping measures.
Codes and bills insurance claims and follows up on outstanding insurance and patient balances.
Routinely post client and insurance payments on accounts.
Researches and resolves client insurance claims which are denied or uncollected.
Obtains insurance authorization for client visits.
Recognize problem accounts and notify appropriate staff to assist in problem resolution.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed, which would include insurance and client billing.
Ensures tidiness of waiting room.
