Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual - Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information for billing purposes - Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents - Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area - Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations of the dental office
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical setting is preferred - Proficient in using dental office software systems such as Dentrix or similar programs - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
